Teducate was
founded by ten sixth formers from Newport High School, Shropshire as part of
the Young Enterprise scheme, running from 2006. Over the
past months we have learnt many new skills through practical experience. It
has been an amazing time and the lessons we have learnt will be taken with
us into our future careers. The challenges we have faced have not just been
related to starting a company, creating an innovative product and bringing
it to market in such a short period of time, but also for us all to manage
existing commitments to school exams and other social and work commitments.
Our mission is to create an innovative,
profitable and multiple use educational game that can encourage personal and
social responsibilities in the young in support of the National Curriculum.
Teducate
has developed quickly from a company with a unique idea for an educational
game into one able to produce a professional product capable of gaining the
interest of a broad range of people including OFSTED Inspectors, play group
leaders, school teachers, youth leaders and parents, all interested in
children's wellbeing.
Teducate
is proud to have received a Highly Commended award at the National Young
Enterprise Trade Fair in Stratford-Upon-Avon and at the Young Enterprise
County level succeeded in winning four trophies including overall winner and
most innovative product. (Further details of this and our other activities
can be found on the Events page).
